Member Advisory Group Code of Conduct

All Group members are expected to uphold the following throughout their appointment:

1.0 Standards

1.1 Participation

• Attend all scheduled meetings or provide advance notice of absence
• Come prepared, having read any pre-meeting materials distributed by the Club
• Contribute actively and constructively to meeting discussions
• Represent the interests of the broader Port Adelaide membership, not personal agendas

1.2 Respect and Inclusion

• Treat all Group members, Club staff, and meeting participants with dignity and respect
• Listen actively and allow others to contribute without interruption
• Maintain inclusive, professional language at all times
• Respect and acknowledge the diversity of perspectives within the Group

1.3 Integrity

• Act honestly and in good faith in all Group activities
• Not misrepresent the Group's views or the Club's positions to third parties
• Comply with this Charter, the Club's Confidentiality Agreement, and all applicable Club policies
• Promptly disclose any information that may affect their eligibility or suitability

1.4 Professionalism

• Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Club's values and reputation at all times
• Not engage in any conduct, public or private, that could bring the Club or the Group into disrepute
• Acknowledge that their appointment may be visible publicly and conduct themselves accordingly

2.0 Confidentiality Obligations

The Member agrees to:

• Hold all Confidential Information in strict confidence and not disclose it to any person outside the Group, whether directly or indirectly, without the prior written consent of the Club
• Use Confidential Information solely for the purpose of performing their duties as a Group member
• Not publish, post, broadcast or communicate Confidential Information by any means, including social media, podcasts, media outlets or public forums
• Take all reasonable steps to protect Confidential Information from unauthorised access, loss or disclosure
• Promptly notify the Club in writing if the Member becomes aware of any actual or suspected breach of this Agreement, whether by themselves or by another Group member

3.0 Terms of Appointment

3.1 Duration

Group members are appointed for a two-year term, commencing from the date of their written appointment notice. Members may be reappointed for one further consecutive term at the Club's discretion.

3.2 Voluntary Role

Membership of the Group is a voluntary, unpaid position. Group members are not employees, contractors, or agents of the Club and will not be remunerated for their time.

3.3 Early Termination by Member

A Group member may resign from the Group at any time by providing written notice to the Club's designated staff representative. A Member's appointment will also automatically cease if they don't hold a current financial Club Membership.

3.4 Removal by the Club

The Club may remove a Group member at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice. Grounds for removal include, but are not limited to:

• Breach of this Charter, the code of conduct, or confidentiality obligations
• Conduct that brings the Club, the Group or its members into disrepute
